My Lil Messy&Cheeky Blog's New Style+Me Myself & I+Award！

Hi and Hello all my dearest friends here！It's been 10 days since my last post！I'm so sorry to take such a long 'vacation' away and I missed all of you！I'm so happy and touched that some of you specially hopped over during my absence to say 'HI' in my Mailbox  on the left-sidebar！ THANK YOU KATH, TINA, CINDY, NAMI & LANI！ I TRULY APPRECIATE ALL OF YOUR LITTLE CARES AND CONCERNS, THEY REALLY WARMTH MY HEART！  
I believed most of you had already noticed the big changes in my blog. This is the reason why I haven't been posting lately. I spent all my time searching, browsing and deciding on the template I wanted to use. Next was figuring out and asking for helps on how to reconfigure default fonts, sizes and colors to those cute different ones that I'm having now. Although it's not easy (I'm not seeing stars but alphabet+numbers for the past 1 week！) and can be quite frustrating sometimes when I couldn't get what I wanted but after accomplishment, I can't help feeling a great sense of satisfaction and proud of myself. 
In my last post, I did promised to write 7 things about myself that all of you do not know in my next post which will be this post. So, after reading this post, you'll get to know much more than just a simple SAHM who needs to stay up for the night(???) just to make Bentos for her two girls！Sounds crazy right！LOL 
Before I go on with the 7 or more things about me, I wanted to thank Manuela of Manu's Menu for passing on the Versatile Blogger Award to me on 9th June 2011. Thank you very much Manu！Thank you for this award and I'm so honored to receive it from you！Thank you for being such a supportive and encouraging friend from the very first day I know you！I totally agreed with what Paolo of Quantro Fromaggio had mentioned: "You are the true binding force that unites half a world of bloggers"！I feel so blessed to have known you！Thank you very much Manu！

Now, here are the 7 or more things about me:

1. I have 2 siblings, an older brother, a younger sister and I'm in the middle. 
2. My brother is 1min older than me and my sister is 2 years younger than me. 1min older than me? YES, YOU'RE RIGHT！We're twins！So unbelievable right? Indeed it is... because we're fraternal twin. I remember when we were in our teens, others mistaken us as a couple whenever we went out together！In fact, my mom is the elder twin herself (runs in our family)！But too sad my aunt couldn't survived thru her 3rd mth due to severe diarrhea.
3. I used to be very shy and quiet when I was young but as I grows older, I become more and more talkative！LOL 
4. I'm 33 this year (Gosh！I'm so old now！) but sometimes people thought I'm still a college student due to my petite size and of course I'm flattered！LOL 
5. I have a very very weird bad habit and that is... I can't go out and come home empty-handed！Even when I'm only supposed to buy newspaper for my dad or don't have the intention to buy anything！
6. I used to be a superb shopaoholic and my longest record was 10hrs non-stop in a day, monthly with my best friend of 20years！Now I only shop when necessary.   
7. The farthest countries I've ever been to are Hong Kong in 1999 and Shenzhen, China in 2006 with my husband. The longest holiday trip I've had was an 8-days driving journey to Cameron Highlands, Genting Highlands, Kuala Lumpur and Malacca which are all parts of Malaysia with my family and my Aunt, our tour-guide who is so familiar with the country due to her frequent trips there in 2010. 
8. The next few countries I would love to go to are Vancouver BC. Canada, (my Primary one best friend since Day 1 in school migrated when we were 11yrs old and we really missed each other so much！) Japan, Korea, Taiwan, (I LOVE the foods in these countries！) and hopefully the whole worldwide！

Oh boy！I was happy as a clam on high tide when I received a message from CG of Cooking Gallery that she has some awards for me on the day when I'm almost finished with my latest post！So coincidently, I was about to inform her that I had awards for her too！I felt very honored to receive these 3 beautiful awards from her, moreover she is one of those talented Bento-makers whom I admire her creativity！ Thank you very very much CG！Thank you for thinking of me, for passing these awards to me and make me feel my existence in the 'Bento World' I truly appreciate your recognition of my blog. As I'm still new to making Bento, there are a lot more for me to learn and hope that in the near future, I can be as good as you. Thank you CG！
Upon receiving these awards, I've to write 7 things about myself that all of you do not know but as I'm too eager to post this out 1st and pass on the awards to my lovely friends who make the blogosphere just like my second home, so I'll leave that for my next post. I've another piece of good news to share and that is I got another unexpected surprised from Chris of Gourmet Fashion！She gave me a whole block of awards the next day on 30th May 2011, Monday！That's really double happiness！Isn't it！ Thank you very very much Chris！Thank you for the thought of me and my blog, thank you for the whole block of awards you passed on to me. Thank you for making me feel that I'm part of the blogging space. All your kindness and sweetness are deeply appreciated. Thank you so much Chris！ 
Ever since all these incredible happenings, I've been on cloud nine for the past few days even until now！

Chris is a believer of Cooking is an Art who loves eating good food  and uses mostly organic ingredients. Best of all is that she cooks with her very own organic veggies that her husband grows in their garden！Aren't they the best partners and that's very sweet loving！So do visit her blog for healthy recipes and yes, if you're uncertain of any products or kitchenwares, (provided Chris did use before) you can check it out at her cool Gourmet Fashion the Specialty Store. Hope you can find the things you want. 

As this block of awards has got a few repeating ones in it, I shall pick-out those and pass it on.

Lastly, left with the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award, This will goes to EVERYONE here！Plus a very special new friend, Kath of My Funny Little Life whom I got to know her only yesterday！ She is special because somehow I feel that we can just 'CLICK' the moment we communicated thru commenting on each other's blog. Maybe this is fate?  Whatever it is doesn't matter, as long as we're all friends！Cheers！

OMG！I think this post is the longest post I ever had and also took me the longest time to finish！Almost TWO full days！I'm so tired and sleepy now... Oops！It's going to 6AM here in SG now！Catch up again！

Two New Awards！

I got 2 more awards from Tina of Pinay In Texas Cooking Corner on 23rd May 2011！ She is a Philipina, stay-at-home-mom of 2 lovely girls living in Texas together with her loving and supportive husband. She can cook a lot of yummy Filipino Cuisine and Non-Filipino Cuisine. She's a very nice and friendly lady. Check out her beautiful blog if you haven't do so！

The first time, also my very first time getting awards during these 3 months of my blogging life, she gave me a total of 8 Awards！ This is the second time she awarded me and I'm totally lost for words when I checked out on the post that she asked me to！Thank you very very much TINA! Thank you for being so sweet, kind and generous to me. I truly feel so honored, so happy to receive these 2 lovely awards and greatly appreciated that you always think of me, visiting and leaving nice compliments in my blog to encourage me！
I totally agreed with her that it's not easy making friends here in the blogging world. Personally, I feel that the blog space is too big, although having the same interests don't mean having the same wavelength to click right away and sometimes it all depends on fate. Are we fated to be friends or just acquaintances? Sometimes it also depends on the efforts and sincerities that you show in trying to change your relationships from acquaintances to true friends.

CG, I believe most of you knew her. She's a young lady living in Germany who has got the passion for cooking, decorating cakes and cute bentos. I really love all her works, they're so impressive！Even my Mom who saw her works kept going WOW！WOW！She is really creative and talented in decorating her foods. 
Nami, she is a Japanese living in San Francisco, a friendly, beautiful mom of 2 beautiful kids, who loves cooking delicious food for her family shares all her authentic Japanese dishes recipes clearly with step-by-step pictures. I love all her dishes because I'm a Japanese food fanatic and so are both my girls！
KEcker, also a Japanese living in Los Angeles, CA, US with her husband is a friendly, cheerful-looking lady who is passionate about food. She loves sharing recipes of her own style of cooking which I find them very attractive and worth trying out！

Another Surprise on Mother's Day！

We just reached home from my youngest aunt's house. I on my computer to check and update my blog. There was another surprised, UNEXPECTED piece of news for me on Mother's Day！Tina of Pinay In Texas Cooking Corner left me a comment in one of my post saying that she has got some Awards waiting for me and asked me to check it out. I was so excited and hurried clicked on the link given. 

OH BOY！OMG！AM I DREAMING！?

Mother's Day Surprised Presents

Happy Mother's Day to all Mommies in the world!  I know I'm a little too late posting my greetings to all the Mommies here. These few days I'm quite busy because Messy's having her mid-year exams which will end by this coming Friday (13th May). In order to be "a good example" I'll have to stop or spend lesser time in front of the computer and try to teach Messy on those homeworks that she's not sure of or doesn't know how to do although she did has a home tutor. 
This year we didn't really celebrate Mother's Day because all were either too busy or outta town to have a get together dinner.  Lucky both my Mom and Mom-in-law don't mind about not celebrating for them, me too won't mind that！ I always tell my girls "I don't need and don't want any presents on these special occasions including my birthday. As long as you are well-behaved, obedient, study hard (anyway my expectations are not very high because I don't want to stress them too much as I feel that kids nowadays are too pressurized and it may backfired！) and don't always make me angry, that's the BEST present for me." 
Anyway, I'd planned a belated dinner celebration for my Mom either tomorrow or the day after when my Hubby's off-day and for my Mom-in-law when my Bro and Sis-in-laws are back from their trip to Malaysia.  

Cheeky's Mother's Day Card for me that she did in school. The girl on the left she drew is ME, middle is Messy and the one on the right is herself. 

Inside the card she drew Mommy and Daddy. She told me that she drew ME with my hair bun up with the ends dropping down at both sides because I used to always tied up my hair this way. 

These are my surprised Mother's day presents from both my darling and baby. The Rose Chocolate from Cheeky and the box of Ferrero Rocher Chocolates from Messy.

I smell something's fishy when Cheeky told me that they're going to the supermarket to buy things with daddy and both girls brought their own savings out. I just pretended to know nothing... 
When they came back, Cheeky told me that they didn't buy anything because there were NOTHING to buy. What a lame excuse I was telling myself. Haha
After that Hubby kept persuading me to bring them out to fishing, prawning, watching movie show etc... I seldom want to bring them out when it's during exams period because they tend to play way too much and after that Messy always become too tired and lazy to revise her school works and Cheeky, her spellings learning. In the end I gave in and decided to bring them for a mid-night show -- "Fast and Furious 5" (Hubby's been longing to watch this) Although they grumbled about not choosing a kid's movie show but they're still very happy and excited！It'd been quite a long time since the first movie show -- "Karate Kid" that we brought them to watch and since it's a Saturday night they won't be sleeping so early anyway. When I got into the car, both girls took out the presents and shouted : "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY！" 
Although I keep telling them don't have to buy anything for me but the moment they gave me the presents, my heart melted...
Cheeky didn't managed to survive thru-out the whole show as expected and I didn't get to finish the last few minutes of the show because Messy was too urgent to wait for the show to end！
Paul Walker (Brian O'Connor) is so handsome and Vin Diesel(Dom) is so damn cool！
